This chapter talks about the environmental threats that the world faces and this world has so much momentum that unless steps are taken now to reverse them, they will soon overwhelm our ability to respond, so the effort must be concerted, rapid and clearly directed. The thoughts and analyses presented in this chapter suggest that it would be appropriate to bring them together here with the hope to find a way to preserve the planet’s life support system in all its diversity. |
