The paper puts forward a workable extension development strategy and it shows on which grounds government interventions strategy should be based and implemented. The paper explores the relationship between the use of participatory processes in the development and use of information and knowledge and their impact on change. The paper is based on a major extension activity carried out in Koketso Goats improvement project. The issue confronting the Department of agriculture in the Northern Cape that supported the project was determining the most efficient and effective process of government interventions strategies to support rural projects . The focus that emerged was on participatory extension processes. |
