Résumé : |
Parameter estimation in distributed parameter systems is usually accomplished by minimizing an output least suare criterion, which is defined through the solution of the model equations. The criterion gradient, which is the basic information required by the optimization algorithm, as well as the sensitivity functions are computed using direct differentiation. A procedure for determining optimal experimental conditions based on a « measure of independence » of the sensitivity functions, e.g. the Gram determinant is developed. This method is illustrated with two examples describing the optimal selection of input signals and sensor locations. |
