Titre : Hybrid numerical-analytical solution of three-dimensional Luikov problem Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : J.B.F. Duarte, Auteur ; J.W. Ribeiro, Auteur Importance : p 167-174 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : MATHEMATIQUE-PHYSIQUE-CHIMIE Mots-clés : PROBLEME DIMENSIONEL SOLUTION NUMERIQUE-ANALYTIQUE THEORIE DE LUIKOV Résumé : Multidimensional drying in capillary porous media is analytically solved for the associated dimensionless temperature and moisture content distributions. For application purposes, a Luikov model with linear transport coefficients and three-dimensional plate geometry is adopted for description of the simultaneous heat and mass transfer phenomena. The generalised integral transform technique (GITT) is used in the automatically global error-controlled solution of the coupled partial differential equations. The behaviour of the dimensionless temperature and moisture distribution is illustrated. Titre : Robust and efficient solution of the inverse heat conduction problem using observers Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : J. Blum, Auteur ; W. Marquardt, Auteur Année de publication : 1998 Importance : p 175-182 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : MATHEMATIQUE-PHYSIQUE-CHIMIE Mots-clés : PROBLEME DE CONDUCTION TRANSFERT DE CHALEUR Résumé : Observers are proposed as a solution algorithm for the inverse heat conduction problems (IHCP) of reconstructing a time-dependent surface heat flux at the boundary of a linear heat conductor. Solving the IHCP is viewed as a filter design problem in which the reconstructed heat flux is obtained by lowpass-filtering of the true heat flux. It is demonstrated that observers yield a better tradeoff between the deterministic bias and the sensitivity to measurement errors and lead to smaller-size computational problems than other solution approaches. Titre : Affordable domain optimization methods for a Stefan’s model of phase change systems Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : R. Aboulaich, Auteur ; I. Hagouch, Auteur ; A. Souissi, Auteur Année de publication : 1998 Importance : p 183-190 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : MATHEMATIQUE-PHYSIQUE-CHIMIE Mots-clés : TRANSFERT DE CHALEUR SYSTEME DE CHANGEMENT DE PHASE METHODE D'OPTIMISATION Résumé : This work considers a free-boundary problem : a two-phase Stefan’s problem, usually introduced as a model for solidification or melting situations. An equivalent formulation involving the characteristic function of an unknown domain is introduced. The semidiscretization in time of the new formulation leads to an optimization problem involving the sign of an unknown function and suggests a numerical method based on the determination of the unknown domain by optimization methods. Numerical experiments show that this method is effective to calculate.
