To better understand the informality and political economy and bank performance and monetary policy in Japan, the author Adrian Van Rixtel divides the developement of his study/ work in three parts ; in which three major difficulties were experienced. First he talks about the possible importance of informality in the implementation of monetary policy, meaning it’s a starting point for an empirical investigation. Second, he focuses on data sources on informal aspects of japanese monetary policy and the third part is based on the obvious language barrier, which means the few objective data sources on informal aspects in Japan
