Résumé : |
This work considers a free-boundary problem : a two-phase Stefan’s problem, usually introduced as a model for solidification or melting situations. An equivalent formulation involving the characteristic function of an unknown domain is introduced. The semidiscretization in time of the new formulation leads to an optimization problem involving the sign of an unknown function and suggests a numerical method based on the determination of the unknown domain by optimization methods. Numerical experiments show that this method is effective to calculate. |
