Résumé :	In this paper, we consider four adaptive grid codes based on the method of lines. The performance of the several codes is illustrated with the numerical solution of three test-problems, e.g. a model of a single-step reaction with diffusion. Burgers’ equation and a model of flame propagation . From a practical point of view, we examine the issues of accuracy, temporal performance, ease of use and simplicity of implementation.
