This paper describes the implementation of sensitivity calculations in the general-purpose stimulation program ESACAP. It is shown how exact derivatives of a steady state or time domain solution with respect to any describing parameter in a non-linear dynamic system can be obtained at very little additional computational effort . The method is applicable to any numerical integration scheme. In this work, backward differentiation with variable step and order is considered. |
