The predictions of RNG-Based turbulence models in complex flows under low Reynolds number conditions / Feng Mei
Titre : The predictions of RNG-Based turbulence models in complex flows under low Reynolds number conditions Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Feng Mei, Auteur ; Michel El Hayeck, Auteur ; Hector Meunier, Auteur Importance : p 35-42 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : MATHEMATIQUE-PHYSIQUE-CHIMIE Résumé : This paper discusses the performance of two RNG-based turbulence models in predicting combustion flows with relaminarized turbulence and predominate radiation heat transfer. The study finds the two models of good performance over the standard k-£ model , noting that they require much less computational effort than some more complicated non-linear models. The present study finds also that the standard RNG turbulence model is better than the differential RNG model in predicting relaminarized turbulent combustion flows in the Single Ended Radiant tube.
